Teaching and Curriculum Development

Since 2023, I've dedicated one morning per week at my local high school teaching the senior class American history. With some background in english pedagogy and history, I've spent hours developing my curriculum and curating valuable resources.

As anyone who's done it before knows, teaching is a real learning experience. There are plenty of pedagogical problems facing teachers today. How do we balance traditional by-the-textbook approaches with new, conceptual alternatives? How do we prepare students to face a world filled with misinformation—and choose to change it for the better? â€‹

My teaching experience has been filled with valuable lessons about engaging with students and promoting self-driven learning. I've worked to develop in-class activities that bring fun into the classroom without patronizing older students—all while trimming busy work and maximizing on critical content.
